Maureen Denise McCormick, youngest daughter and sole daughter from Richard McCormick, and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills on 5 August 1956. The mother of the child was her home, and she was a aspiring mom who stayed at home. Michael, Dennis, and Kevin are her three older brothers. McCormick started dancing and singing from a young age, and would often perform puppet shows for children in her community. The fairy tale began for McCormick at the age of six old, and she won her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest. Then she received an email to Pat Domigan, a talent agent from the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to join the business of show production. Her first major role came in 1964, when she starred in an advertisement for Mattel's brand new toy "Baby Pattaburp." The company also ran a commercial in 1964, for the "Chatty-Cathy" doll. The following year, she was chosen to play the lead role in the show The Brady Bunch: Wind It up and It breaks in the Playhouse at The La Jolla Playhouse. McCormick was selected in 1969 of 1,200 children to become the youngest of three twins in The Brady Bunch TV program The Brady Bunch. Florence Henderson and Robert Reed played newlyweds who were part of a family that was blended. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick stated in her book of 2008"Here's the Story of Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she almost ended her relationship with the fifth season of the show in the company of Barry Williams, her co-star as well as her on-screen brother. He was just 19. She was just 16. She claimed that "it could have occurred" however the timing was not the right time.
